THE EUROPA CUP EUROPEAN FLORIST CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 WITH ASPEN ART
A unique florist event took place in Katowice at the end of August this year. For the first time, the European Florist Championship „Europa Cup 2022” was organised in Poland. We were standing side by side with the outstanding champions of floristry from all over the world.

During the three days of the championship, we had the opportunity to present aspencrafting to a wide national and international audience at our stand and during the floral shows. We are delighted to the great interest our natural aspen wood strips and Aspen sheets enjoy. We would like to thank everyone who visited our stands and took part in the show.

The main theme of the Europa Cup 2022, was Music and Flowers, so our displays were dedicated to Frederic Chopin. At the heart of our composition was a century-old piano keyboard. It was surrounded by scattered in artistic disorder aspen shavings recalling musical notes of famous composer. On them floated aspenwood strelics and orchids as if they were notes on the Master's stave.

Sixteen representatives from not only Europe but also Asia competed for the title of European champion in several competitions, e.g. large form, table decoration, bouquet or body decoration. In the final round, only the top six were selected to perform the "Composition of their dreams". This competition, which was kept a secret until the end, was a surprise for the finalists. When they received their packages – among the exotic plants – there were also our Aspen Art strips. With great pleasure and commitment we watched these struggles during the gala ceremony. After 45 minutes of competition, unique compositions were created, the best of which was created by Hanneken Frankema from the Netherlands, who was crowned European Champion.

We should also mention the fantastic display of Polish Vibes, by master florists Zygmunt Sieradzan and Tomasz Max Kuczynski. One of the compositions reffering to the air element was constructed from our 0.3 mm thick aspen sheets. This composition shows spectacular lightness and transparency of the aspen material.
